Prof. Leif Sörnmo received M.Sc. and D.Sc. degrees in electrical engineering from Lund University, Sweden in 1978 and 1984, respectively. He held a part time position at Department of Clinical Physiology, Lund University from 1983 to 1995 working with computer-based ECG analysis. From 1990, he has been at the Signal Processing Group, Department of Applied Electronics, Lund University, where he is currently Professor in biomedical signal processing. His research interests include statistical signal processing and its application to the modelling and analysis of biomedical signals. Recent projects include detection of micro potentials in the ECG, spatiotemporal methods for detection of myocardial ischemia, time-frequency analysis of atrial fibrillation and signal processing of otoacoustic emissions. |
